Srinagar, Jul 04 (KNO): The Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) on Saturday organised Chapter 4 of "Let's Connect" at Polo Ground Park, bringing together participants for an engaging session focused on mental health, self-awareness, and peer support. The session created a safe and welcoming space where participants explored themselves through interactive activities while building meaningful connections with one another. The programme emphasised the importance of emotional well-being and the role of peer support in fostering resilience and community. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), participants took part in a series of thoughtfully designed activities, including Unique Introduction, Drawing a River, and the Ice Water Game, each encouraging self-reflection, communication, trust, and emotional expression. These activities helped participants better understand themselves while strengthening their ability to support others. Speaking on the occasion, JKCPJ Director Nadir Ali said, "Mental health begins with connection. Through Let's Connect, we aim to create spaces where people feel heard, understood, and empowered to support one another. Peer support reminds us that healing becomes easier when no one has to face their struggles alone." Sharing his experience, participant Fadil said, "Today's session helped me understand myself in a new way. The activities were simple yet meaningful, and connecting with others made me realise that everyone has a story. It was comforting to be part of a space where we could learn, listen, and support each other without judgment." Let's Connect is an initiative of JKCPJ dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, encouraging self-discovery, and building strong peer support networks through interactive and community-based activities—(KNO)
